1. Define Your Project Scope & Style
Clarify what you need: renovation, furnishing, space planning, or full interior design.
Determine your aesthetic preferences (e.g., modern, classic, minimalist).
Set a realistic budget and timeline.
2. Research and Shortlist Designers
Look at portfolios, client reviews, and Instagram/website presence.
Ask for referrals or search local directories.
Shortlist 2–3 designers whose work aligns with your vision.
3. Schedule Consultations
Meet or speak with the designer(s) to discuss your project.
Ask about their design process, fees, and project management style.
Ensure there’s good chemistry and clear communication.
4. Review the Proposal or Quote
The designer should provide a detailed scope of work, estimated costs, and deliverables.
Ask questions and clarify what’s included or excluded (e.g., sourcing, procurement, installation).
5. Sign the Agreement and Start the Process
Once satisfied, sign the design agreement or contract.
Pay any required deposit.
The designer will then begin with concept development and planning.
